The program
The Wayfinder Program
Plan B Costa Rica · Immigration and residency lawyers
The people who found their way here, and what they learned on the road.
The Wayfinder Program is a series of conversations with interesting people who moved to Costa Rica and work with us: a former top model, a former beverage executive, a former Navy SEAL, and many others with less public but equally deliberate stories.
The name says what they have in common. A wayfinder is someone who crossed unfamiliar ground, found a route and can tell the next person what it looks like. Each episode is ten to fifteen minutes on why they left, what the first months were like and what they would say to someone packing the same boxes.
If you moved here and want to tell your story, this is the place.
Why this series exists
Most immigration content explains paperwork. Ours starts with the person holding it.
Every client arrives with a story that has nothing to do with forms: a career that ended, a family that needed distance, a country that stopped feeling safe, a life that needed a plan B.
We film those conversations because they are the most honest guide we can offer anyone about to make the same move.
The format
- A single conversation, 10 to 15 minutes, filmed remotely or at the office in Lindora.
- Three or four questions, no script, no promotional pitch.
- You review the cut before anything is published, and you can ask us to leave something out.
- Published with subtitles in English and Spanish.
What we usually talk about
- 01The day you decided to leave, and what triggered it.
- 02The first month in Costa Rica: what surprised you, what was harder than expected.
- 03Work, money and identity after the move.
- 04The residency process itself, told without filters.
- 05What you would tell someone starting today.
Who we invite
Clients of the firm, at any stage: already resident, mid-process, or just starting. Some have had very public careers and some have not; both make good episodes. What matters is that the experience is real and that you are willing to talk about it.
How we handle it
- We ask for written consent before filming, and again before publishing.
- You choose what stays out. Nothing airs without your approval.
- We do not disclose your immigration file, your documents or your family details.
- You can withdraw the episode later; we take it down.
